Small Black Lava Rock is a porous aqua-scaping stone that has a dark black to reddish-brown coloration. It is volcanic in nature and is ultimately the result of cooled lava mixed with gases. Black Lava Rock is very lightweight stone. It is typically used as decorative ground cover or as a permanent alternative to mulch in garden beds.
NOTE: These rocks are not washed rocks, they are still covered in dust from crushing, quarry, & transportation. These rocks can be washed before/after spreading. You could also spread it in the landscape area and let it be washed by the next rainfall.
