Excellent and efficient service. Ordered online on Saturday morning thinking I would see delivery maybe on Monday. Wasn't really in a hurry. The young lady from the business called me within an hour of ordering to verify details and let me know they would get it on a truck today (2 cubic yards of crushed limestone in bags). The driver called me about 30 minutes before arrival and showed up right on time. He was very courteous and dropped the product exactly where I wanted it on my driveway. I will definately use them again in the future. Good pricing and very good service. Great job folks!

Such a wonderful place! For anyone who is actually doing landscaping, they have endless amounts of supplies on their huge lot so I’m sure that you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for! As for me, I am a teacher and I came in to get a small amount of rocks for my students to paint as Father’s Day gifts. When I told this to the lovely woman working at the front desk, she gave them to me free of charge after checking with her manager. It was such a lovely gesture and so appreciated! If you're thinking about buying sod from this place—don’t. I had a terrible experience. About 50% of the sod was usable. The rest? Rotting. The pieces were hot to the touch—too hot to handle with bare hands—and gave off a horrible compost-like smell. That’s not just poor quality; it feels like a serious health and safety issue.

What made it worse was the complete lack of follow-through. I’ve contacted them twice. My wife and even my grandpa tried reaching out. Each time, we were told someone would get back to us. No one ever did.

One star honestly feels too generous. If I could leave negative five stars, I would. I’m not sure if the business changed ownership, but with all the positive reviews, I expected at least basic customer service. What I got was the opposite.

Really disappointing result using this business for the first time. I ordered 2 bags of mulch, they came clearly not full and the driver was 2 hours late with no call to let us know they were behind. I raised the issue of the bags not being full with the office, their only response was the attached photo of similar bags, also not full, on the back of a truck. Go to Burnco or another supplier if you want to get the actual quantity you order.

Below was my review, but after two months of waiting my return after delivering wrong product and it took them a week to pick up and now it’s being two month and not giving me the refund of the product picked up by them. I would say be careful with them.

I don’t usually do any reviews but I think this place deserve that I take some of my time to do review. Go no where if you need landscaping supplies. They are amazing people. Amanjit is great man he helps me in every step in the process to get my project done and it turn out amazing. Preet and sorry forget the other lady name may be Daljeet always put simple on their faces and ready to help. Sometimes it takes them time to return a cal but so understand, people love them and they are so busy that’s why. I have even extra items that I asked if they can take back with their track instead of me outing in my car and they helped me in that’s.

See screenshot. Never did he mention once that they're closed on stat holidays. Not to mention sept 1 wasn't a stat holiday. And as per their own policy on the website, orders placed before 2 pm are eligible for same day delivery. According to your own response, the order was placed on 12 pm.
Kindly accept your unprofessionalism instead of justifying.

Had the worst experience with this company. I ordered top soil.
First they promised the same day delivery if I were to pay right away, I did that.
Hours later. I get a call saying apparently the top soil has 'clumps' and they're getting fresh soil tomorrow so it's better if I switch the delivery to next day. I accepted the clumped top soil and they agreed to deliver it same day.
Hours later, they called saying they had a 'mechanical issue' with the delivery truck. Therefore, they won't be able to deliver today. Offered a refund but that's besides the point.
Not to mention my husband had spent hours at this point getting the yard ready and buying supplies. We needed to get the landscaping done before the long weekend due to other commitments next week and they didn't care one bit.
The whole clumpy soil and then machine failure just seem to be excuses as it cannot be a coincidence. Extremely unprofessional people

These guys delivered road crush to me twice!
Both times they claimed they delivered me five cubic yards! Both piles are different sizes, and they are maybe two yards.
I will never use them again. Deceitful, couldn’t talk to them. They argued with me.

I paid over $200 delivery charges, when I should have only paid once.

Manjit and the rest of the staff were very helpful in helping with our project. We were new to hardscaping and was very apprehensive about taking this project on ourselves. He not only did the math for us, but helped with the execution via multiple phone calls. A few of our pavers came cracked on the pallet and they replaced it without issue. Previously I had nothing but good experiences with this company, but this time I ordered a one yard tote bag of sand and it only showed up Half full.

When I brought this to their attention the argued with me and told me they have camera footage of the bag being filled-even though I had pictures of the unopened bag with measurements.

The sand plus the bag plus delivery was $200, so for that price they could have at least given me what I paid for.

It’s a real shame-all of my previous business with this company has been five stars.

EDIT: The manager saw this review and called me back. He was very argumentative and rude and told me that he had security camera footage of the bag being loaded, even though I have pictures of the bag arriving half empty at my house.

He refused to give me a refund or credit. I guess there’s nothing I can do at this point except not give them any more business.

Geez. $200 for a half yard of sand. You think for that price they could make it right. Terrible service! What happened to this place?

This yard while it appears to be a high quality business has inflated prices compared to other proximal businesses, will not price match, and also has inexperienced/incompetent operators. They scratched my vehicle when loading and had the employee pay out of pocket for the repair. Would highly recommend you find another yard for your landscaping and material needs.

In response to the business reply: No threats were made regarding this matter. My level of frustration due to the incident and albeit extremely UNCLEAR communication on my desire for discounted future material, in addition to compensation for repair were not communicated in writing to me. If you truly strive to improve yourselves, review your pricing, do not charge for a re-fill of the 1yd bags, and ensure all operators are appropriately trained on how to load vehicles. I assure you I will not make the mistake of shopping here in future, and hope others may heed this review before being overcharged.

I bought quarter stones from them yesterday (June 11, 2023). They sold me half of the quarter. My neighbour bought same stone from another supplier. He covered more than me. Scammy supplier.

Edit: Mr. Tapinder I told you 30 FT x 2 FT and 3” deep. You told me quarter. My neighbour’s supplier told same. Results is not 2 FT!! As you can compare with my neighbour’s landscaping. Why you do not stand behind the word! Even you didn’t call me for fixing the problem.

I am very sorry, but your business is hit and run. As a customer we can not weight the material and they know it and take the advantage.

Recently visited the landscaping supplies as I have been on the hunt for good quality but good priced accessories for my backyard and trees and plants as well. I have been to many many places but I found everything I needed here for such good prices but such good quality. There is a worker there and her name is Sehaj, she was extremely kind and patient as I looked at everything. I would truly recommend checking out this business for all your landscaping needs.

I purchased multiple loads of landscaping rock, topsoil, and sod from Whyte Avenue Landscaping and their team was always helpful and courteous. They provide great advice and support too! I went to Whyte Ave Landscape Supplies to get some help with a small project and the advice was perfect for my situation. I used road crush as a base and small fractured rainbow rock for the top. I wanted to create a mountain meadow kind of look. When the truck arrived with the two types of rock Dilawra (sp?), driver, dumped it on my driveway in two separate piles - it made my job a lot easier! Customer service is top notch at WALS.

Great place for any landscape needs!
The yard attendants were very helpfull in finding exactly what we wanted and helped hand bomb through all the flake stone we needed.
The staff inside were friendly and helpful too. Made us feel welcome and not a burden. They have our business for sure!

Awesome service, best clean topsoil I've seen this year. I'm a contractor and hard to impress. They delivered 4 yards to a client site 40 minutes after request...on a Sunday. The delivery guy Lokdeep was very professional, and expertly dropped the load avoiding overspill onto the grass. Very refreshing.

Don’t waste your time going elsewhere..Great selection of everything you can think of for your landscaping needs..
They’re just very nice salespeople, very knowledgeable and pleasant, my salesperson instructed me how to build a retaining wall step by step.
They delivered the stuff I bought the next morning right on time although they were willing to deliver on the same day.
Even the delivery guys were extremely nice, polite and efficient .

I stopped in on a whim to pick up some material. Doreen was extremely helpful and took the time to make sure I got what I needed. They have quickly became my first and only stop for my landscaping supplies. The customer service is on another level! From Doreen, to follow up calls about delivery, and the tandem driver was also fantastic. Could not recommend them enough!

The lady who took my order was helpful and did a great job answering my questions and finding the answers she didn't know off hand. Even called me to see if I wanted to change my delivery date because they saw rain in the forecast! Who does that?? Hats off to WALS for customer service. Their prices are good compared to competitors and the delivery was on date and the dump truck driver took care with placement and did the little things right like sweeping any rogue rocks back into the pile. This is where I will shop for all of my landscaping needs

I went to Whyte Avenue Landscaping in search of natural flagstone pieces to use as stepping stones. When I explained the work I had planned, I was given many options of additional material I required. We had a great experience! Staff were very friendly, their operating hours are customer focused, and we liked that they sold material in 5 gallon bags. Great products and delivery. This is our second season using WALS. We were introduced to their products through our landscaper last summer.The garden soil is superior to other bulk soil we’ve ordered. The patio stones are great quality. Delivery of all products was smooth.

Picked up six 5 gallon bags of play sand. You can text or call to make sure they have what you need in stock. I showed up, got my invoice and the guys loaded the bags for me. Much better deal than buying from the hardware stores!

I made an order for 1.5 cubic yards of limestone rock. I placed the order over the phone, and the person helping me was very thorough, making sure I was ordering the right product (diy home project). They delivered when they said they would, calling before hand to give a heads up when they were on on their way. They delivered where they were supposed to. I'm happy with this experience.

My experience at Whyte Ave landscaping was excellent. I called and someone quickly answered the phone and gave me the information I was looking for. Then in store, I had quick and kind service. I had a non standard request for 1000 rocks of a certain size, and even though my purchase was small and time consuming, their service was still quick and attentive. I would recommend them and will definitely return for further landscape needs.

Bought Sanding Rocks (Rock Chips) for our very very icy sidewalk. Only one drain on entire street - and in its infinite wisdom the City has blocked it - so when it’s above 0 and the waters flow, all the water from the street arrives at the bottom of my neighbours and our driveway - then promptly freezes. We have a six inch thick ice sheet now. Chipping it is fruitless. It is hard as cement and has multiple layers of rock solid ice!

Chips are prebagged. Very helpful - thanks!

Been going to these guys since they opened up. They are consistently adding more materials and products to stay competitive. We often call in need of urgent deliveries for soil and other landscaping materials, and they always deliver ASAP. They also seem to refill their salt and gravel faster during winter than other places, which is why we deal almost exclusively with them.

Went in to pick up landscaping salt as they were recommended by a contractor

When I got in the staff had no idea where it was and when he called a different person to check they wanted to charge me more. For a smaller amount and when I showed them their website they said they don’t sell that product.

Great service! Great price. Super easy to deal with! The staff was amazing. Ordered 4 yards of limestone for delivery. Paid at 9am, had the rock on my driveway by 1130 the same day! They dropped the rock exactly where I wanted. If I could give more stars I would. Never knew this place existed before a week ago. Now I don't think I'll get bulk products anywhere else!!!!

I highly recommend Whyte Ave landscape supplies to anyone starting a new lawn or repairing the existing lawn or a putting a new garden or doing landscaping. I found the owner and his staff are very knowledgeable, respectable, trustworthy, genuine and very fast in providing service. I phoned yesterday, got my soil delivered within a few hours by the owner who was very honest, a good listener and knowledgeable of his products also very professional. Their soil is of high quality, they take pride in their products and services, their receptionist was excellent in giving very good customer service. I wish this company all the best.

I must admit that that in order to get certain things completed to my satisfaction I end up, many times, doing them myself. My bad! But I have seen (initially it may be hard to imagine) that with a some help you can achieve it.
Anyway, coming back to the topic. I had a need to redo my landscaping, because after spending thousands of dollars I wasn't happy with it. Last summer, I just happened to visit Whyte Ave Landscaping, on the crossing of Sherwood Park Drive and 50th street, in Edmonton. I still remember, the minute I walked in I was a welcomed customer. Someone live was willing to understand my needs, process it at their ends, and help me with a few qualified solutions, in fact detailed and how to do. I bought one that suited me best and I have no hesitation in saying that I have been a happy customer.
I would certainly like give them, to their top quality professionalism, the top stars. My best.
