Ice Melt Edmonton

We keep ice melt in stock at the yard on 72 Ave all winter. Most people come in for one or two 20 kg bags. Contractors take it by the pallet — 50 bags at a time — and we'll load it onto your truck or deliver it. No minimum order either way. If you're not sure how much you need for the area you're covering, call or text 780-760-5076 and we'll work it out with you. Which ice melter you want depends on how cold it is. The contractor grade 20 kg bag is rated to ‑15°C and is what most people use in October and again in March. Once it gets colder than that you want the Ice Melter ‑25°C or the ‑32°C — plain road salt has more or less quit working by then, and you end up spreading it for nothing. The ‑32°C is what our commercial accounts run through January and February. We also stock a 20 kg Eco Friendly Ice Melt for anyone putting it down near lawns, garden beds or new concrete. Ice melt clears the ice, but it needs time to work. A lot of our commercial customers put traction sand down at the same time so there's grip underfoot straight away while the ice melter does its job. If you're looking after a school, a strip mall or a condo property, that combination is what keeps you out of a slip-and-fall claim.
